Meet the Owners
Chris and Steve have been best friends since the 6th grade. They've spent a combined 44+ years dedicated to jewelry and are now thrilled to offer their expertise under their own name, Celebrations. Stop in and see what they're all about!
Chris Shorkey
Chris was born and raised in Philadelphia, NY. He started in jewelry at 19 years old and has been trusted by the local community with all of their jewelry needs for the last 24+ years. Chris managed the Watertown Kay Jewelers from 2001 through November 2024, and decided to bet on himself and his life-long friend, Steve by opening Celebrations in May of 2025. When Chris isn’t at the jewelry store, you can find him snowmobiling, hunting, fishing, or spending time with his family.
Steve Booth
Steve moved to the North Country at the age of 11 after his father retired from the military following 21 years of service. His parents both grew up locally. Steve started working in Jewelry in 2005 at Kay Jewelers in Watertown, NY. He was promoted to assistant manager at JB Robinson shortly after and then to manager of the Kay Jewelers at the Destiny USA location in Syracuse, NY, overseeing the first renovation of its type for the company. Steve was then promoted again to district manager on Long Island and continued his jewelry journey with the company in Jacksonville, North Carolina and Las Vegas.
Steve served as a police officer in North Las Vegas for a year before moving back home with his wife, Sierra, to raise their two sons.
When Steve isn’t at the jewelry store, you can find him rooting on the Raiders, golfing, and spending time with his family.
